Memorial Poker Run

 

 Saturday, November 11th  2023

 

 

 

We normally hold a run or event on the day to commemorate Remembrance Day.

 

This coming year we will be doing a short service at the clubhouse at 11am sharp to

remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.

 

After which, we will be doing a Memorial Poker Run.

 

 

Remembrance Day (11 November) marks the anniversary of the armistice,

which ended the First World War (1914–18).

Each year Australians observe one minute silence at 11 am on 11 November,

in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

It is the intention of the VVMC - Gippsland Chapter to hold an
Annual Remembrance Day Memorial Run, or other event,

on the closest Saturday on or after the 11th day of the 11th month each year,

to Honour those that gave of themselves so that we may enjoy the way of life we have today.

Remembering our past will only improve our future.
